Ann Elizabeth Pallister was the third child of Cuthbert Pallister & Alice Wardle (nee Sutheron) christened September 11th, 1831 at Heworth, Co Durham.
In 1841 Ann was at home with her family at Felling Shore, Heworth.
Ann was still living at home in 1851 with her parents & younger brother & sister at Whickham, Co Durham & was now working as a straw bonnet maker.
On May 24th, 1856 Ann married John Dobson, the marriage being registered at Newcastle-upon-Tyne. John Dobson was born c1832 at Whickham, Co Durham.
In 1861 Ann & John were living at Dunston, Whickham Lowhand, Whickham where John was a grocer & Ann was a dressmaker.
John & Ann were still living at Whickham in 1871. John had no occcupation & was described as an invalid.
In 1881 Ann & John were living at Backrow, Whickham, & John was now described as an unemployed joiner. Ann was still a dressmaker.
Ann died December 14th 1887, aged 56, at Whickham,
Co Durham.
